Mario Teriade Eleftheriadis is a visual artist. He studied Fine Arts at the Higher National School of Fine Arts in Bourges, France, and Plastic Arts at the Sorbonne in Paris. He obtained a Doctorate in Publishing-Printing from the Higher National School of Fine Arts in Reykjavik, Iceland. In 2000, he was elected as a regular professor and director of the Publishing-Printing workshops at the Higher National School of Fine Arts in Limoges, France, and since 2011, he has been a visiting professor at the School of Humanities at the University of Limoges in the Master of Arts and Letters, Contemporary Creation, and Cultural Industries program. In 2001, he was awarded by the Miró Foundation of Mallorca in collaboration with Sotheby’s auction house. In 2009, he curated the Miró exhibition in Mallorca, a Cultural program of a series of nine exhibitions of Miro in Greece and Cyprus, at the request of the Teloglion Foundation of Arts of AUTh in collaboration with the Pilar y Joan Miró Foundation of Mallorca, the Movement of the Five Museums of the Presidency of the Greek and Cypriot Republics, the Ministry of Education and Culture of Greece and Cyprus, the Ramon Llull Institute, and the Embassies of Spain in Athens and Nicosia. He has held 28 solo exhibitions/performances at international exhibitions, museums, and galleries worldwide and has participated in more than 30 group exhibitions. He also participates in residencies, festivals, and biennials. His works are in public and private collections worldwide. He has undertaken the artistic supervision of significant publications, both for the Ministry of Culture and for private collections, as well as stage designs and costumes. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Museum of Photography of Thessaloniki as a representative of the Municipality of Thessaloniki.
