In my artistic practice, I employ a variety of materials and processes, including drawing, video, paper in various forms and recently I explore sustainable materials such as the crystal interface with paper. The aforementioned techniques allow me to experiment and explore female existence and sense of self by filtering this through primitive, archetype, space, and time concepts. The two-dimensional or three-dimensional nature of the media I utilize enables me to approach the subject instinctively – letting the material itself convey the narrative – or methodically through archival materials obtained mostly from folk narratives, poetry, and modern current events. The outward visual reality is solely of importance to me as a stimulant to project an interior state of contrasts of thought cohabitation in a cosmos that represents the principles of life and modern female-predominant identity.
